What to expect when you connect with us

When you make contact with us and book your first therapy appointment at Bright Space Psychology we will provide you with information about our service and discuss with you what format for therapy would be easiest and most suitable (i.e., face to face or online therapy). Online therapy is offered via secure videolink or FaceTime.

At the beginning of your first session your psychologist will briefly run through some paperwork and answer any questions that you might have. If you or your child has been referred by a GP or psychiatrist, your psychologist will discuss the details of your Mental Health Treatment Plan. The rest of the session is really about finding out what has been happening recently in your life or your child’s life, and for the psychologist to put together a treatment plan that will work best for you and/or your child. And if you aren’t sure as to what information to share don’t worry because the psychologist will ask guiding questions to ensure that he or she gets all the information that they need.

You can expect that we will be here for you at Bright Space Psychology. Our goal is to help you grow, heal, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
